First record in the Chathams Island (Ref. 45493); rare to fairly common in the Northeastern and Eastern Chatham Rise (Ref. 87166). Recorded from bottom trawls off the east coast of South Island (Ref. 58461). Occasionally caught (Ref. 6871). Voucher specimen(s) held at the NMNZ (Ref. 5755). Also Ref. 4444.
